Due to a known Linux kernel issue, Storwize V7000, Storwize V7000 Unified block node canisters and SAN Volume Controller nodes will reboot after running for 208 continuous days since their last power on or software upgrade.
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=ssg1S1004038&myns=s028&mynp=OCST5Q4U&mynp=OCST3FR7&mync=E
The issue has been fixed in version 6.2.0.5 (v7000 only) and will be resolved in an upcoming V6.3.0.x PTF and a future V7000 Unified PTF release.
Option 1, for all our v7000 customers running 6.2.0.x code upgrade to 6.2.0.5 within 208 days of the solution being installed or rebooted.
Option 2 for 6.3.0.x, ask the customer to perform a node reboot on one controller, wait a day and reboot the other. Alternatively, wait for a new release (must be less than 208 days since it was installed or last rebooted)
Tectrade will also be contacting customers directly about this issue
